Welcome simple, local beauty into your life with our fresh, seasonal cut flowers.
Our cows, sheep and chickens live on pasture year-round.
Sassafras Fork's one hundred and fifty acres is situated in the rolling hills of rural Granville County. Our farm is just a short drive from the thriving Triangle region of North Carolina. This beautiful piece of land, cut by the Tar River, is host to our family, two acres of gardens devoted to cut flowers, thirty acres of pasture for our cows, sheep, and chickens, and the rest dedicated to the forest and fauna that made this place home long before it was a farm.
Convening interests in sustainable agriculture brought the father-daughter duo together in 2011 when Sassafras Fork officially became a family-farming endeavor. J. Ed. and Stephanie's joint passion and curiosity for working outside, growing, and raising food and flowers guide our daily lives on the farm.
We are committed to using organic and sustainable practices. We try our very best to grow healthy soil, supporting the best plants, flowers, and animals we share with you. We are always learning and finding ways to improve our farm's ecological balance. Our systems are a work in progress, continually changing, evolving, and constantly improving. We look forward to sharing the beauty and bounty from Sassafras Fork with you. Thank you for visiting us.
